I started my teaching and coaching career in 2021 at Robinson Junior High in Robinson ISD, just outside Waco. I taught history and coached football. Waco is home, and Robinson is part of that community, so starting my career there meant a lot to me.
A first-year teacher and coach
Robinson is where I first stood in front of my own classroom and coached my own position group. It's where I learned how much I love teaching young people the truth about history and helping them grow on and off the field.
A recommendation from Robinson ISD
On March 31, 2022, Robinson ISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Hope wrote a letter recommending me:
"With Andrew, you are getting a young educator who is tireless in gaining knowledge/skills and building relationships to help each student under his care… Andrew demonstrates a passion to serve students, staff, and parents in all he does. He would be a great addition to your staff."
Where it led
From Robinson I went on to teach and coach at Troy, Carter-Riverside, Burleson, Arlington Heights and LD Bell. I built the Lonestar Coaches Network and served as Chief of Staff on two campaigns for Texas governor.
